With the New York teams being awarded the 2014 Super Bowl in their new stadium, other cold weather cities are looking to bring the title game to their field.
The Green Bay Packers have made it known that they would like to host a future Super Bowl at Lambeau Field.
There would be a bunch of hurdles for the Packers to overcome in order to win a Super Bowl bid.
The New York Super Bowl is already skirting a rule stipulating that the game must be played in a dome or weather warmer than 50 degrees.
A game at Lambeau would be very difficult logistically because there are not near enough hotels for fans to stay in, nor enough things to do in the area in the week leading up to the Super Bowl.

As the 2010 NFL season gets closer, the Green Bay Packers are being shown a lot of love from the media.
There is a lot of hype surrounding the Packers this year, so much so that many predict they will be the team standing in New Orleans’ way to get back to the Super Bowl.
Much of the hope of Green Bay’s Super Bowl push rests on the right arm of quarterback Aaron Rodgers.
Rodgers had a phenomenal 2009 season but didn’t get too much help from the rest of his team.
The offensive line let him down much of the year before the defense caved in during the playoffs.

It was no secret that the Green Bay Packers had serious issues along the offensive line last season.
Particularly early in the year, star quarterback Aaron Rodgers was getting tossed around like a rag doll.
The Packers made it a point to improve their protection of Rodgers and drafted tackle Brian Bulaga in the first round.
Bulaga will come in and likely start right away, hopefully keeping Rodgers off of his behind in the process.
The team has a lot of money invested in Rodgers, who is becoming an elite quarterback, and needs to keep him injury-free and on the field.

The Green Bay Packers 2010 schedule has been released and it sets up well for another postseason berth.
Green Bay begins the season with a tough game at Philadelphia but then the schedule eases up in a hurry.
Very winnable games against the Buffalo Bills, Chicago Bears, Detroit Lions, Washington Redskins and Miami Dolphins immediately follow.
Things then get decidedly more difficult with a stretch that begins with a home game against Minnesota and ends with the Vikings on the road. In between, the Packers face the Jets and Cowboys.
Once through that stretch, the schedule eases up through the end of the regular season.
Games at the New England Patriots and Atlanta Falcons are challenging, but every other game should be a victory.

In order to return to the playoffs this season, the Green Bay Packers will have to navigate a tough slate of road games that includes visits to four teams who qualified for the postseason a year ago.
The National Football League has released its tentative schedule of road and home games for 2010. While dates and times have not been finalized, the Packers at least know who will come calling at home and who the will face away from home in the upcoming season.
On the road, half of Green Bay’s games are against postseason qualifiers from last season. Defending NFC North champion and NFC runner-up Minnesota is on the road slate, as is AFC runner-up the New York Jets, AFC East champ New England and NFC wild-card qualifier Philadelphia. The other road games are Chicago, Detroit, Washington and Atlanta.
At home, the Packers will play host to the Vikings and NFC East champ Dallas. The other six home games are against teams that didn’t make the playoffs: Chicago, Detroit, Buffalo, Miami, San Francisco and the New York Giants.
Based on opponents’ win percentage from last season, the Packers’ schedule ranks tied for 22nd with Kansas City.

The Green Bay Packers look like they are going to become just the latest team to hold onto their nose tackle.
The team is planning to place the franchise tag on Ryan Pickett, who would then make $7 million next season.
Nose tackles seem to be some of the most coveted players in this year’s free agency class, but few will actually make it out onto the market.
Teams seem to understand the importance of a run stuffer and someone who can collapse the pocket.
The Packers are hopeful that the deal will give them some extra time to work out a long-term extension with Pickett.
